   Training Programmes Undertaken

As a step to popularize isotope techniques to the experts in the field of water resources management and among the academic personnel and students of prime learning centres all over the country, CWRDM initiated training programmes in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) especially on the application of isotopes in hydrology. Two schools on ‘Isotope Tracer Techniques in Water Resources Development and Management’ were organized by the Centre at its Campus and at BARC with the financial support from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under its SERC Scheme.

As part of the five-year DST Project on ‘Basic Facility for Stable Isotope Research in Basic and Applied Sciences’ four short term training workshops were organized by CWRDM. The first two programmes were conducted during
17 - 25 November, 2005 and 25 - 30 September, 2006. The third one was organized as one day workshops at the participating five academic institutions
